Chapter President or Two Co-Presidents
This position steers board activities, keeps goals in focus, and builds consensus.The President represents 400 members of Oregon's founding chapter, established in 1961.
Programs Committee Chair or Two Co-chairs
This position coordinates a team of volunteers who seek suitable speakers and help present our monthly programs by Zoom or in-person.
Publicity Committee Chair or Two Co-chairs
This position coordinates a team of volunteers to fulfill the publicity needs of the chapter:
Edit our chapter Newsletter,The Calochortus
Edit and send Portland content to the State Bulletin manager
Post on Meetup and other social media.
Update our website.
Membership Committee Chair:
This position coordinates with our state membership chair, keeps a list of all members, welcomes and surveys each new member noting volunteer interests and responds to member questions and concerns.
Field Trip Committee Chair:
This position coordinates our January field trip planning and manages the field trip calendar. It includes coordinating trip leaders and producing trip descriptions for chapter publicity outlets.
All positions will be trained and supported by experienced members.
