Learning macrame will bring out your creativity and more!
Macrame is an age-old practice has gone in and out of popularity for thousands of year. It is a technique of crafting a textile that uses several knots to form the basic shape and function of the piece. Each knot can be created with your hands, and there are no other tools required other than a mounting ring to keep the item in place while you work.
This is a hands-on workshop for beginners to learn the basics of macrame techniques, knotwork, measurements, and history. No experience needed!
By the end of the class, students will learn how to make a macrame plant hanger and know how to use the knot techniques learned to be applied to other projects.
The instructor will demonstrate how to do some basic knot techniques in macrame.
He will teach how to make a macrame plant hanger using organic natural white cotton, a wood ring and other accessories.
We provide all the materials needed to practice and make the macrame plant hanger during the class and then take it home with you!
Students only need to bring their own scissors and a notebook to take notes.
