The History Museum of Mobile’s upcoming Learning Lunch Program is on Wednesday, December 10th at 12 PM and will feature Nicholas P. Wood. The title of his presentation is Let the Oppressed Go Free: Abolitionism in Colonial and Revolutionary America. Nicholas P. Wood is an associate professor of history at Spring Hill College. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and has held postdoctoral fellowships sponsored by Yale University and the National Endowment for the Humanities. His first book, Let the Oppressed Go Free: Abolitionism in Colonial and Revolutionary America, was recently published by the University of Pennsylvania Press.
The History Museum of Mobile invites the public to attend this free Learning Lunch lecture series. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy a presentation on an historical or cultural topic.
