Learning Disabilities and Autism Live Annual Conference 2022
About this Event

Living a good life in your community – a right for everyone!

8th July 10 am – 4 pm, ICC, Birmingham

People with learning disabilities and/or autism still face exclusion from society and continue to face inequality in their day to day lives. The Pandemic highlighted the real disparities which exist in our communities, and it was those people who are most vulnerable who were disproportionately affected.

This conference will focus specifically on how the sector and wider society can support people to live independent and fulfilling lives and have the equality of opportunity to Live a Good Life. It will explore the current inequalities and barriers and look at how these worrying trends can be reversed.

Speakers will explore key themes of promoting parity of access to healthcare services, how learning disability settings can ensure they are homes not hospitals and how outcomes for people with a learn-ing disability and/or autism can be improved, and their human rights protected.

By Coming Together, we are Stronger Together and can make lasting change.
