Participants of the Virtual Kick-off are encouraged to attend both days of this in-person session. Lunch will be provided.
The Reproductive Health Learning Collaborative will be an opportunity for maternal health stakeholders to receive training and capacity-building related to Reproductive Health and Reproductive Justice.
Participants will:
- Receive a foundational understanding of Reproductive Justice (RJ), its tenants and origin.
- Understand the connection of RJ to Reproductive Health
- Build capacity to utilize RJ as a Critical Social Theory.

RJ Squared is a North Carolina based consulting firm established in 2020 that seeks to co- construct joy-filled communities where Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color residents can participate in abundant living experiences and achieve their desired lifestyle. RJ Squared moves this vision forward by centering the Reproductive Justice (RJ) Framework in advancing equitable policies and practices.
RJ Squared applies the RJ Framework to shift organizations’ focus from stereotypical fallacies based on perceived individual behaviors to a robust root- cause analysis of systems and institutions to promote culture shifts, encourage reimagined practices and procedures, and to move equity into a sustainable practice.
The RJ Squared co-founders and lead consultants, Rebecca Severin and Jasmine Getrouw, have over 20 years in program management, program implementation, strategic planning and facilitation, evaluation methods, quality improvement, contract administration, sub-recipient monitoring and community outreach.
