Our Women’s only Intro to Welding class introduces students to MIG (GMAW / Wire Feed) welding, a widely used and versatile process that is perfect for beginners wanting to start on their own metal fabrication projects.During the class, students will learn about the equipment needed for MIG welding, how to correctly set the welders, and how to prepare and clean the metal surfaces for successful welds.
The class will emphasize safety precautions, including proper clothing, ventilation, and safe handling of equipment. Students will learn how to weld tacks and and basic lap and T joints, which are essential techniques that will allow them to start creating their own welding projects.
By the end of the class, students will have a solid understanding of the basics of MIG welding and will be able to apply their new skills to their own welding projects. This class is designed for beginners who want to gain confidence in our metal shop.
All materials and tools included.
