A three-part weaving series for those who want to dig in - Learn to weave and spend this winter becoming a weaver. In the first class, students will learn the basic building blocks of weaving, including warping, materials, tools and basic techniques and go home with homework on their very own Lost Pond Looms frame loom to prepare them for the final two classes in which they'll work with roving, raw and dyed locks and advanced techniques to create a one-of-a-kind wall hanging. A portion of the final class will include finishing and frame mounting (frame and hardware included). Lost Pond Peeper 12x16 Loom and tool kit plus warp, weft yarn and access to "fiber bar" included in ticket price.
Tami Fuller is a second-generation fine fiber artist and educator. Her work integrates the traditional foundations of hand-constructed processes with modern techniques, using foreign objects and metal. She operates her own fiber arts and education company, Blubird Studio, teaching throughout WNY and into the Northeast. Ms. Fuller is an internationally published artist, exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and a 2021 Roycroft Emerging Artist. She serves as Executive Director of the Roycrofters-at-Large, Chair of Exhibitions for the Buffalo Society of Artists and Fiber event coordinator for the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
