It's in the title, come and learn how to Swing Dance!Amy and Jet have been dancing and teaching for years and we're coming to Kapiti. We heard rumours a few of you would be keen to try Lindy Hop so here we go 🙂
This style of swing dancing is a fun, social, partnered dance, and there is lots of room for your own "styling" or "variations".
This morning session will be a complete introduction to Lindy Hop. Everything you need to know to get you more comfortable swinging a partner around the dancefloor in only 3 hours!
FAQ:
I have never danced before. Can I join?
Yes. This workshop is be aimed at people who have never danced in their life. For anyone with experience, we've got lots of tips and tricks to challenge you too!
Do I need a partner?
No, we do change partners throughout the class so you can certainly come on your own or with friends. But of course you are welcome to come with a partner if you wish.
Do I need to register?
No, just drop in on the day and sign in just before class :)

Cost:
Waged = $50
Unwaged* = $35

Timetable:
9.20 - Doors open to sign in
9.30 - Workshop starts
10.30 - 5 minute break
11.30 - 5 minute break
12.30 - Workshop ends. Social dancing starts
