It's in the title, come and learn how to Swing Dance!Amy and Jet have been dancing and teaching for years and we're in Wānaka for the winter. We heard rumours a few of you would be keen to try Lindy Hop so here we go 🙂
This style of swing dancing is a fun, social, partnered dance, and there is lots of room for your own "styling" or "variations".
This morning session will be a complete introduction to Lindy Hop. Everything you need to know to get you more comfortable swinging a partner around the dancefloor in only 3 hours!
This workshop will be aimed at people who have never danced before in their life. Learning any new skill is challenging but we will be breaking it down and going over the fundamentals nice and slow. (Tips and tricks can be shared to anyone with more experience).
If you don't have a willing partner to join you, no worries at all, we do change partners throughout the class so you can certainly come on your own or with friends.
If you don't want to change partners that's also no worries at all. We believe the best way to enjoy this dance is by dancing with with various levels of experience, but we do understand that not everyone is comfortable rotating partners in class. Changing partners is encouraged, but optional 🙂
Cost:
Waged = $50
Unwaged* = $35
*Students, pensioners, community services card, etc.
