Would you like to give SwimRun a try, or aren't quite sure what SwimRun is, but are curious?On Saturday July 13th at 10:00am, SwimRun Edmonton will host a free learn to SwimRun.
We will meet at the art sculpture by the parking lot in Terwillegar Park and discuss some of the history, the equipment, and the rules around SwimRun. We will then participate in a short SwimRun. Total activity time should be around an hour.
Recommended equipment includes a wetsuit, swim cap and goggles, and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. Swim buoys are also encouraged. Many swimrunners will use pullbuoys and paddles too, and for the full SwimRun experience, bring a friend!
Anyone interested is welcome, but participation is at your own risk. We recommend that you should have open water swim experience, or be able to confidently pool swim at least 100 meters without stopping, and be able to tread water for at least one minute.
