🧵If so, join us for an exciting, hands-on class where you’ll craft a stylish and comfy pair of trousers using the on trend, barrel leg trouser pattern; the Roan trousers by Emporia patterns.
Guiding you through this creative journey is none other than Tony Rea, a finalist from The Great British Sewing Bee (Series 9)! With his expert tips and tricks, you’ll create a wonderful pair of trousers and have sew much fun along the way!!
The Emporia Roan trousers pattern is a barrel leg trouser pattern, which is designed to have a loose and comfy fit for a cool and casual feel. They have a medium rise waist, deep cutaway front pockets, a classic v back yoke, and angled five side pockets at the rear. Top stitching detail on the seams and a fly zip add jeans style detail, but without the faff of making actual jeans.
Make them from lighter weight denim, cotton drill or twill for a cool workwear style, or go for canvas, linen, ramie or similar blends to create a more relaxed feel.
Whether you’re a sewing enthusiast or looking to level up your skills, Tony will guide you step by step to make these trousers with confidence. While originally designed for a female shape, this versatile pattern has been enjoyed by many, including Tony himself, as a unisex garment!
