LEARN TO SEW ON A SEWING MACHINE - A WORKSHOP FOR BEGINNERS with Silvana from Beaches Sewing.This is a perfect class for anyone wanting to learn to sew on a sewing machine and have the confidence to get started.
Sewing can be an amazing creative outlet where ideas turn into beautiful pieces leaving you with a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. It can be very relaxing but also take you on a journey in so many different directions from garment making, costume creating, home decorations, accessory making, wall art and so much more.
Throughour this 2.5 hour class you will learn the basics of sewing on a sewing machine.
Weather you have used a sewing machine before or it’s your first time, by the end of this class you will know how to;
Set up the sewing machine and use it with confidence
Troubleshoot and resolve most common issues
Select best options in handling different fabrics
Make a simple drawstring bag at the end
We will be using Janome DC250 Sewing Machines on the day which we provide.
If you are looking into purchasing a machine - Silvana who runs Beaches Sewing will be able to advise you and provide you with the best machine for your ongoing use.
This is an adult open age class but is suitable for age 10 plus and no previous experience is necessary however children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
