About this Event
🧵 Adult Learn to Sew (16+) — Foundations CourseSessions will run every Tuesday at 7pm in March.
Step into the world of sewing with confidence in this hands-on, supportive, and creative course designed for beginners. You’ll learn how to use a sewing machine from start to finish while building a practical toolkit of foundational techniques that will serve you in any future sewing project.
Across four thoughtfully designed projects, you’ll explore essential skills including machine setup and operation, fabric cutting, working with patterns, accurate pressing, thoughtful construction methods, and clean professional finishes. Your projects will include:
• a sewing project tote bag,
• a zip-up boxed corner tool bag,
• a wrist pin cushion, and
• a pinafore apron
+followed by a final project of your choice, allowing you to apply your new skills creatively and independently.
Course registration includes the use of our studio equipment — sewing machines, serger, cutting tools, and irons — in our relaxed, welcoming sewing room. Students will be asked to supply their own fabric and notions of choice; a clear and simple supplies list will be provided upon sign-up.
More than just a class, this is a chance to learn a rewarding, practical craft & life skill while discovering the joy of making something truly your own. No prior experience needed — just curiosity and creativity! 🌿
