Learn to See - Art & Photography Workshops (1 of 2)These workshops are designed for all artists, designers, photographers, beginners or the curious who are interested in exploring the world with new eyes.
In a two day intense workshop we will look at the fundamentals of technical photography. Why don't my images capture the essence of my idea? What do my images lack? How can I create more successful pictures?
The aim of this course is to learn about the basics of technical photography and designing photographs / artworks. By working on many different topics we will train and improve your photographical perception. Your own photographical language will be explored. Through picture analysis and group discussions you will gain essential skills to judge pictures professionally. You will learn highly proven methods from Kunsthochschule Düsseldorf (Joseph Beuys, Andreas Gursky, Gerhard Richter…) that will let you approach your subject matter with new a new pair of eyes. These methods can be applied to many different art forms.
For inspirational purposes we may look at some of the masters of photography and learn about their approach to photography

Requirements:
While a phone will enable you to enjoy many of the topics we will be covering ideally you will bring a camera with manual mode (manual control over aperture, shutter speed and Iso), ideally DSLR or Mirrorless with you. Also desirable would be a laptop or iPad on which you can show some of the images you will created during the workshop.
