Mahj 102: Intro to Mahjong
Join us for a fun and engaging part two, a continuation of Intro to Mahjong at Mojo Coffee! This lesson will include a short review of the basics of Mahjong! In this hands-on session, you’ll continue to practice the basics of gameplay, including the rules, the tiles, and the strategies that make Mahjong both challenging and exciting.
Throughout the class, we’ll guide you step-by-step as you:
- Review the Tile Basics: Understand the different suits, honor tiles, and special hands.
- Master the Rules: Grasp the flow of the game, including how to build your hand and make order out of chaos.
- Practice with Others: Play in a relaxed, friendly environment with fellow beginners, so you can build confidence and enjoy the social side of Mahjong.
- Get Comfortable with Strategy: Discover the key strategies to increase your chances of winning and have fun while doing it!
This class is perfect for folks with a basic understanding of Mahjong looking for a refresher, or to improve their skills. You’ll leave with all the confidence you need to play Mahjong with friends and family!
Mahjong is played in groups of four, so please specify if you are signing up as a group and would like to be sat with other attendees. BYOB Event
