- The NHL and the NHLPA have partnered with the Tampa Bay Lightning to provide a low-cost opportunity for kids to try hockey for the first time. During the 2025-2026 hockey season, more than 800 boys and girls (age 4-10) will discover the sport of ice hockey for the first time through the Lightning Learn to Play Hockey Program.
- The program will consist of eight ( 8 ) hour long on-ice training sessions over the course of eight ( 8 ) weeks. Participants will receive their own complete set of hockey equipment to keep as they progress into a next-step hockey program.
- The Tampa Bay Lightning 2025-2026 Learn to Play Program will run at TGH Ice Plex on Friday's from 7:00 - 7:45 pm.
Fall session begins on October 3rd at 7:00 pm.
- Registration will open on July 10th.
Winter session begins on December 12th at 7:00 pm.
- Registration will open on September 26th.
Spring session begins on March 6th at 7:00 pm.
- Registration will open December 5th.
