Sew with WendyJo!!Make an oven mitt or a hot pad in this class. It will be functional as well as decorative. The amount of fabric you need for each one is slightly different so please prepare according to which one you want to make during class. The pattern will be provided for both, if you want to make the other one too.
Oven Mitt with Foundation Paper Piecing block
4-5 FQ (recommended) alternatively, scraps of coordinating prints that are a minimum of 6 inches by 3 inches will work. If you want a focal print in the block (where my pumpkin is), it needs to be a 3 inch square
1 FQ coordinating print for the majority of the mitt surrounding your FPP block
1 FQ dark brown solid or 1 strip 1" x WOF plus 1 strip 2.5" x WOF for binding.
1 Fat Quarter for the lining fabric
1/4 yard insul bright
Matching cotton thread
Walking foot recommended
Erasable pen
Point turner
Fabric shears
Sewing machine with electric cord and foot controller, typical sewing supplies such as snips, pins, clips, plus your personal FPP supplies (such as add a quarter ruler, light board, glue, etc.)
Hot pad made of FPP block
