Learn how to knit Socks workshop at Logie Steading, Forres Have you ever wanted to be able to knit your own socks but don’t know where to start? Then this is the workshop for you! Suitable for those with basic knitting experience- if you can cast on and off knit and purl then that’s all you need!
In this one day workshop I will walk you through all the elements of sock knitting from working in the round to turning a heel and grafting a toe. We will apply all these techniques by making a mini sock or doubles up as a Christmas stocking! You will go away feeling confident to cast on your first pair of socks!
The workshop includes all materials.
Sunday 23rd March from 10-3pm at Logie Steading, Forres
Investment: £70 includes all materials, hot drinks, sweet treats and a content sheet.
What will you learn:
- How to knit in the round on double pointed needles.
- How to select the correct materials for future project
- How to knit the cuff and make cuff variations, shape the heel and turning it, how to graft the toe and finishing off.
*Please note workshops are subject to run according to a certain number of bookings if these bookings are not met then the workshops will be cancelled on a 5 day notice. You will either get to transfer onto a new date or a refund will be given however no refunds can be given if you cancel less than 7 days before.
* Adverse weather notice - due to the nature of adverse weather like snow or flooding with this situation being out of my control I cannot offer refunds if you or I need to cancel due to weather. I can only transfer your place onto a future date. If I need to cancel due to weather then I will of course reschedule the event and allow you a place on another available workshop or have credit in my web shop. Thank you for your understanding.
