If you’re new to kayaking, or it’s been a while and you need a low-pressure refresher, this is the course for you. Review the basic strokes and safety considerations with the assistance of paddle sports-certified staff from our GR Outside division.The course begins with a few on-shore basics, then the group will launch together using an accessible kayak launch. Once on the water, we’ll practice some skills as a group on the Riverside park Lagoon followed by some time on the Grand River. This course begins and ends at the same location.
All equipment is included. Instructions and a suggested packing list will be emailed to participants on registration. Ages 15 and up must be accompanied by an adult.
