A couple with extensive experience, teaching Tango together for the past three years. Their approach blends technical precision with musicality, musical depth, and connection.
Laura Rivas (Uruguay)
Laura is a Uruguayan dancer and teacher based in Geneva since 2022. She learnt Tango in Montevideo and Buenos Aires with many renowned tango maestros and has been dancing for over 20 years. Passionate about sharing the cultural roots of tango, Laura brings warmth, clarity, and depth to every class.
Yohann Réal (France)
Yohann is a dancer and teacher with more than 10 years of experience. Influenced by teachers from both Europe and Río de la Plata, his training has shaped a deep understanding of tango music and body awareness. His pedagogy encourages a holistic approach to tango and fosters authentic connection between partners.
🗣️Classes in English (French & Spanish spoken)
🎓 We’ll cover all the fundamentals:
- Musicality: rhythm and melody; different tango orchestras; tango compared with vals & milonga.
- Technique: caminata, ochos, giros, boleos, barridas, ganchos.
- Social codes: going to the « milonga » (tango ball); circulating in the dance floor; inviting to dance by « cabeceo ».
