Cost $30Join Kim of Sunshine Creations for a beginner crochet class with the distraction of cats!
Skill level: at least 6 months – must have control of tension
We will be making 1 stingray amigurumi, this will be made flat
We will be using SC, INC, ch turn and sl st
Materials required:
o Any form of worsted weight (#4) yarn; acrylic, wool or a blend is okay
Yardage required is 150 yds (NO 100% cotton & NO velvet, chenille or blanket yarn (this is very hard to see stitches)
o Color is your choice, but be aware if you choose black yarn it is more difficult to see as you work
The following will be provided, but if you have your own supplies, you are welcome to bring them. Please note yarn is NOT provided in the supply kits.
o Pattern
o 3 Crochet hooks lettered G (4mm), H (5mm) and J (6mm) If you are bringing your own supplies pleas bring all 3 sizes to ensure you have the correct hook for your yarn and your tension
o Pen
o Darning needle
o mini notebook (you can bring any size, but the provided kit has a mini notebook)
o scissors
o stitch markers
o safety eyes
o fluff
Please keep in mind that this event is kid-friendly, but recommended for ages 10+ to be done independently. Otherwise, younger children will LIKELY need a generous amount of help & guidance from an adult as this is a skilled fine-motor art project.
The event starts at 2pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early (1:45pm) to order food and drink. With the purchase of your ticket you will receive 20% off drinks and baked goods.
