Cost $30Join Kim of Sunshine Creations for a beginner crochet class with the distraction of cats!
Skill level: no experience needed
We will be learning basic single crochet, maybe double crochet if there is time.
You will be learning to make 1 round dishcloth “in the round” using the Magic ring.
Materials required:
o 100% cotton yarn – 1 ball #4 weight (worsted) example: Lily & Cream, Sugar & Cream, I Love this Cotton (Hobby Lobby)
Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Joanne’s (PLEASE NO BLACK YARN)
o Small cinch bag or similar to store and carry your project in
The following will be provided, but if you have your own supplies, you are welcome to bring them. Please note yarn is NOT provided in the supply kits.
o 3 Crochet hooks lettered G (4mm), H (5mm) and J (6mm) (only H (5mm) is needed for this project if you are brining your own)
o Pen
o Darning needle
o mini notebook (you can bring any size, but the provided kit has a mini notebook)
o scissors
o stitch markers
Please keep in mind that this event is kid-friendly, but recommended for ages 10+ to be done independently. Otherwise, younger children will LIKELY need a generous amount of help & guidance from an adult as this is a skilled fine-motor art project.
The event starts at 2pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early (1:45pm) to order food and drink. With the purchase of your ticket you will receive 20% off drinks and baked goods.
