In this class, you will learn:
to read your yarn label
about crochet hook differences (material, style, & size)
how to hold your crochet hook
how to manage tension
to create a slipknot
to create foundation stitches, chains (CH)
to create second row stitches, single crochets (SC)
how to turn to next row and maintain the shape
The dreadful chain that everyone refers to as "the snake" is the base and fundamental motion to learn any crochet stitch. I do understand the frustration chaining for a long time but please be patient with yourself. Crocheting is complex and requires starting off slow to then take off running.
Grab a coffee/water and come on in for some yarn fun.
The yarn and hooks will be provided to learn. You will be given a skein of yarn from the inventory to take with you. We will determine the complimentary hook size before you leave.
"Learn to Crochet" is a required class to attend Crochet 102, 103, and 104 level classes. No refunds or transfers for classes under $15/person.
