This 6 week course is for those wishing to learn the basic skills and techniques of crochet, and learn to read a simple pattern.

Who is this course for ?

Anyone who would like to learn to crochet or has tried in the past and forgotten !

During this short six week course (18 hours) you will learn the basic stitches used in crochet, how to read a simple pattern, including diagrams, and how to chose the correct yarn and crochet hook for the item you are making. There will be demonstrations, individual guidance, discussion and Q & A as well as handouts. Practicing what you learn at home will help you to consolidate your technique and ability, and help you to develop confidence in your new skills.

Come along with a friend and spend a relaxed afternoon, having fun and learning a new craft together.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no class on 22nd November as this is a college staff development day.

D o I need to bring anything with me ?

Please bring crochet hooks if you have them, if you don't we can loan them to you for the sessions. Wool will be provided for the first week then Jane will advise on purchasing for future sessions. The Works sells a very reasonable range of crochet materials.
