The course takes place over three evenings: 6.30-8.30pm Mon 10th, 17th and 24th March. Learn the basics of crochet and start a granny square project! This is a course for beginners, or anyone wanting to refresh their skills.
Granny squares for beginners
Always wanted to give crochet a go, or fancy refreshing your craft skills with yarn and hooks? Come and learn the basics at this laidback course and start your first granny square project!
In this three-week course we'll cover:
-Yarn and hook knowledge
-Basic crochet techniques and stitches
-Making granny squares
-Joining squares
All the essential skills you need to start your crochet journey! You'll be provided with eco-friendly yarn and a crochet hook to keep, and work your way through making granny squares and working on your first granny square project. We all learn at different paces, so you'll also leave with some further resources and a few treats. You'll get the best results if you practise a bit in between classes!
Our small group will have a dedicated cosy space in the bar at The Libertine . It's a lovely venue right in Westbourne, and there is a car park right next door. Your ticket price includes a hot drink from the bar.
This workshop is suitable for ages 12 years and up. Youngsters must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Your tutor is local knit and crochet designer Becca from To Be Adorned . Spaces are limited for the event, but keep your eyes peeled for future workshops and social Stitch Nights or you can book a one-to-one!
