Lokanta was an incredibly delicious and authentic restaurant in SE Portland that closed a few years ago. Chef Umut was born and raised in Turkey and thrived on Meyhane culture. A Meyhane is a traditional Turkish restaurant or tavern where people gather for several hours, talking, drinking Raki and eating and sharing small dishes. Chef Umut's food was fresh and showed tremendous depth of flavor. It is my pleasure to share some of the dishes I came to know and love while working at Lokanta.What's included
