This workshop consists of introductory-level, in-classroom fly fishing instructions. Local biologist and educator Anna Le teaches about freshwater insects, water quality, fly selections, knot tying, the basics of setting up a fly fishing rod, trout ecology and behavior, and what you need to know to prepare for field days in the springtime. Personalized instruction will focus on using fly fishing as a tool and conversation starter, and how to better conserve nature as anglers and stewards.
