
About this Event
An on-site cooking demonstration on how to make a shelf stable jarred fresh Dill Pickle recipe from start to finish including using a water bath canner. Participants will learn about the ingredients required, how to prepare, being safe with pickles, jarring the pickle, sealing, and water bath canning. A tasting of our jarred Pickled Kohlrabi vegetable medley pickle will be served at the end. Participants will also learn about food safety, critical temperatures, pH testing, checking for a seal, and what to expect from making something shelf stable. Tips and Tricks will be discussed too. Ample time for Q & A. With the purchase of the class, participants will get a Pickle Kit which has the seasoning pack, directions, jar and lid.
