Learn the Art of Paper Quilling by Artist Grace Burns
Paper quilling, also known as paper filigree, is a timeless art form that dates back to the 15th century. Using thin strips of paper that are coiled, shaped, and arranged, quilling transforms simple materials into intricate works of art.
In the first class on November 22, you’ll be introduced to the foundations of quilling. You’ll learn essential techniques such as creating tight coils, loose coils, teardrops, marquises, and scrolls. With hands-on guidance, you’ll practice assembling these shapes into a beautiful finished holdiay designs to take home.
In the second class on December 6, you’ll advance your skills with more intricate techniques, including 3D quilling. You’ll then apply your new knowledge to create a delicate and decorative snowflake card, perfect for seasonal gifting or framing.
All Supplies will be provided.
Grace Burns is a creative card maker and facilitator dedicated to sharing in the knowledge of Quilling. With over 30 years of experience in crafting and card making, she loves to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for crafters of all levels.
This program is open to ages 12 and over.
