Learn the Art of Mishima Ceramics

Learn how to create mishima, an ancient Japanese technique of inlaying glaze onto a ceramic piece to make a design. We will use various tools to scratch, carve, and draw patterns onto a pre-made ceramic mug, creating a design on which to inlay our glaze. After class, I will fire your piece for you to pick up at a later date. In the end you will have learned a new skill and have a beautiful mug designed by your own two hands.
