CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Learn a lovely art form and flex your creativity. This art form made popular by artists like M.C. Escher and Elizabeth Catlett, produces beautiful prints over and over. Perfect for repeating designs or art prints, come learn how to carve your own printmaking blocks.
During this workshop you’ll carve a 4” by 6” reusable lino block, learn to handle carving tools safely, and print your design. You can create your own design or choose form a selection of stencils curated by Megan.
You'll learn the basics of carving with linoeluem and be able to create repeating patterns or mini prints perfect for gifts. Take home two prints and a finished block to keep printing. Wear clothes you’re willing to get messy. All supplies provided.


ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Megan is a linocut artist with a background in history. She loves writing, sketching, sewing, and carving new lino blocks. She is passionate about taking time to do art and creative pursuits and learning new techniques. Her Instagram account @Starglowrabbit focuses on the calm side of linocutting and creating art meditatively.
