Learn Make Create Pottery Workshops for Beginners

This is not a one-day event but a series of four workshops. Before booking, please ensure you are available for all four workshop dates, as tickets only list the start date of the series. Unfortunately, we cannot swap dates or switch workshops.

• Dates: Saturdays – 18, 25 October & 1, 15 November
• Time: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
• Age Requirement: You must be 18 or older to attend.

Our Learn, Make, Create workshops consist of four 2.5-hour sessions, specifically designed by potters for potters. These small-group workshops are limited to six participants, with each person getting their own pottery wheel.

Includes:

• All materials and tools provided, including the glazing and firing of your pieces.
• A personal starter kit to keep, which includes clay, bats, sponges, a slip bucket, tools, and handouts.
• Access to our studio sessions on Thursdays and Sundays at member rates for practice during the five weeks.

1. Workshop 1: Introduction to the studio, working with clay, hand-building, and slab techniques.
2. Workshop 2: It’s wheel time! Learn the basics of throwing on the wheel.
3. Workshop 3: Leather-hard techniques – carving, trimming, and turning. Your pieces will then dry and be bisque-fired.
4. Workshop 4: Glazing and surface decoration. Your work will be fired again, making it functional and ready for collection.

We’re a not-for-profit studio dedicated to fostering a love for pottery. Our workshops are taught by experienced potters who are passionate about sharing their craft.
