CHESS FOR BEGINNERS
Have you always wanted to learn how to play chess? Join us for this special introductory workshop to Learn How To Play Chess in this relaxed and discussion based session for women and non-binary people!
This is an introductory session. No prior experience needed and materials provided. This workshop is taught by local chess play legend Jackie!
Connect with others, learn how to play a new skillful game and meet new friends!
About our teacher:
Jackie is a local chess playing legend in Hastings. She likes socialising, gardening, dancing and chess. Jackie is retired from fostering teenagers for many years and is now free to participate in more community activities and to take the time to teach others her passion for chess.
Your workshop ticket gets you:
1.5 hour session on the basics of playing chess
An opportunity to meet new friends and learn about where you can practice chess with locals on an ongoing basis.
A chance to ask Jackie any technical/practical/tactical questions about the game
Snacks and refreshments included with your ticket price

*Our classes are for adults aged 18+ only unless specifiied otherwise. If you need to bring a child with you, we ask that you contact us first to request this.

The building is wheelchair accessible.
There will be a 10 minute break in the middle of the session.
Lighting and sound levels can be adjusted in the space.

The suggested ticket price is £4.
