It's that time of the year again! LEARN is hosting our annual diverse toy drive and pop-up holiday shoppe. We started this program in 2020 with two goals:1. Support families who need help with holiday gifts for their children
2. Provide high-quality gifts that celebrate diversity!
Studies show that the more diverse experiences we have as children, the more likely we are to grow up to be adults who are kind and empathetic, with healthy self-esteem and an appreciation for differences in ourselves and others. These experiences can include books and toys!
Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors and local businesses, we've provided over 2,500 gifts to families in our community. And thanks to our partnership with Schoolcraft College Office of Student Activities, our program participants can schedule an appointment for a special visit to the Pop-Up Holiday Shoppe!
How can you get involved?
If you would like to learn more about eligibility and/or register for an appointment to shop for your family at the pop-up shoppe, please visit this link. You must register no later than 11:59pm ET, Monday, December 8:

If you would like to help out with this effort, you may do so in several ways:
1) Purchase your own diverse books or toys and drop them off at one of the participating Livonia (and one Detroit!) locations:
