*Dan Terrington – Plains-wanderers in Qld: marginal habitat or critical refuge?
Paul will describe the plan to eradicate invasive ant species by using targeted baits over a limited period. Community resistance to baiting is a threat to the plan.
Dan will talk about the Plains-wanderer, an endangered and highly cryptic species that is poorly understood in Queensland, where records have historically been scarce. Dan’s project incorporates acoustic and thermal survey techniques to investigate status, habitat requirements and movement patterns of the species.
