LEAP'out Make & Take @ the Duneland Y Healthy Living Campus

What is a sensory bin? How do I create a sensory bin? How do we use it with our children? Can we use one sensory bin multiple ways?
Join LEAP Solutions at The Duneland YMCA Healthy Living Campus for our first make and take sensory bin workshop where we will answer all those questions and you will assemble your own sensory bin.
This event will be held on Monday, March 3rd from 5:30-7:00 pm located at the Duneland YMCA Healthy Living Campus ( 651 W. Morgan Ave in Chesterton). The cost is $10 per participant. These sensory bins will be geared towards ages 0-5.
Why sensory bins? Sensory bins aid children in learning and development. Benefits of a sensory bin include:
-Language development
-Creativity
-Fine motor skills
-Sensory exploration
-Calming and soothing effects
-Problem solving skills
Cash, check, or Venmo payments are accepted.
Checks must be written to LEAP Solutions. If using Venmo you the fee will be $11.

LEAP'out is designed for caregivers; there will be discussion, Q&A and making your own bins. However, we realize you may have kids that you must bring with you! If you need to bring a child, please email Katie at [email protected]. Childcare will not be provided but some sensory activities may be made available.
