Group Reflective Practice Sessions: Family Violence Response, Self-Care and Professional Development.
Join us for a monthly reflective practice series designed to support skills development, healing and professional growth. Running from May to October 2025, these Friday sessions provide a dedicated space for personal and group reflection, case discussions, burnout management, and healing activities, incorporating various techniques.
Event Details:
📅 Schedule: Monthly on Fridays (starting on 9 May – ending on 3 October)
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (with an optional smoking ceremony at 9am)
📍 Location: Dardi Munwurro, Preston, VIC
Topics and Themes:
- Creating Cultural Safety
- Managing Collusion
- Asking Reflective Questions - practical tools for engagement
- Facilitation micro-skills - practical tools for engagement
- Gendered nature of family violence work
- Centering Children in Family Violence practice
These sessions provide a supportive space for professionals to reflect, recharge, and develop sustainable self-care practices while strengthening their work in trauma-informed spaces.
