In the UK 64% of adults were overweight or obese in 2023- 2024, with 26.5% living with obesity (Obesity statistics - house of commons library) .
That's a distressing figure , and we haven't even mentioned the rising obesity rate among our children .
I am on an absolute mission for 2026 to let everyone in Felixstowe know that there is a solution. They can learn a new healthy lifestyle whilst losing weight eating normal, delicious foods and build active habits along the way. All of this whilst being part of a fabulous Slimming World group which will support them and cheer them on every step of the way ! But .... I need your help . I have 3000 leaflets to hand deliver to the community of Felixstowe so they can find us! 3000 people behind closed doors who may not even know that we exist . If you can spare one or two hours of your time on the 28th December 2025 you could literally save a life by helping someone find us.
I need 15 volunteers ( the more the merrier!) to help me reach out by delivering leaflets locally . We will meet at Neros coffee shop on the high street ( come early if you fancy a coffee before we set off) where i will provide you with 100-200 leaflets and a list of road names . You will also receive a state of the art leaflet delivery device 😉. We will all set off to leaflet together for 2 hours maximum and then meet back for coffee together afterwards .

I would love there to be enough of us to get them all out in one day but if we can't I will arrange an extra event .
I really am grateful for any help received because I know that we change people's lives here at Slimming World and that is certainly worth shouting about !
