A collaborative partnership with internationally acclaimed educator Joan Dalton
About this Event
In 2021, we facilitated this inaugural programme and this is feedback from participants who attended this professional learning:
“What an amazing two days! I have so many ideas personally and as part of my leadership team - so much so that our team will be stronger than it is going forward.”
“Thanks for being so responsive to the special things our team is dealing with. The 2 days provided ta safe place and time to lift out some things that need to be addressed for them as the school moves ahead.”
“The balance of working with groups from other schools and with our own school provided for some really rich discussions and experiences. The facilitators were amazing at modelling, questioning and challenging us and I found the way they lead us through this workshop enjoyable, genuine and enriching. When they dropped into our groups, it always seemed to be at the perfect time to take us to the next level of thinking about our activities.”
Brilliantly facilitated, perky pace and so relevant to our whole Kura learning journey. It was a shame that Joan wasn’t able to be here in person, but this didn’t matter as the facilitators were masterful in their delivery and organisation. Joan’s videoed bytes were incredibly important and used really effectively. Thank you so much.
The Leading Adult Learning team are excited to offer an exciting professional learning opportunity for principals and leadership teams. This workshop works with Joan Dalton's highly acclaimed latest book 'Learning Culture for Learning Impact'.
The Invitation and Learning intentions for the two days:
- To examine your current school learning culture, inquire into highly effective learning cultures more deeply, and apply learnings to authentic needs in your school.
- To further develop your learning talk capabilities to skillfully engage in important conversations that move learning forward.
- To lead the leading of adults in ways that model how to build a strong learning culture for learning.
While we will carefully plan a daily agenda, the directions we take will be influenced by what we learn from you as we go, in order to ensure a need-satisfying and relevant experience for you. Additionally, each participant will receive their own copy of Joan Dalton’s latest book ‘Learning Culture for Learning Impact’.
The costs are as follows and discounts are available for multiple bookings from the same school, kāhui ako, or team.
- Learning Culture for Learning Impact workshops - $995 ex GST per person
We are encouraging teams to attend these workshops. To support this, we would like to offer a:

- 15% discount off the total fee for three or more participants
“The 1-1 coaching was a thoughtful professional conversation which was both targeted and unforced. It was facilitated so that there was a real balance of my thoughts voiced, probing, clarification leading to further goals.” - School Leader, LAL Christchurch 2021
