Introduction:
In this session we welcome Ben Hunt-Davis, MBE founder of Will It Make The Boat Go Faster? Ltd.
Ben Hunt-Davis is an experienced performance coach, facilitator and keynote speaker. He is also an author having co-written “Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?”, the story of how the men’s eight crew that he was in won the Olympic Gold medal at the Sydney Olympics.
Ben has spent the last 16 years specialising in leadership and team development. He has designed and run training courses and conferences for many organisations. He is a performance expert, and has a very practical approach that is heavily focused on the application so that participants can actually apply what they’ve heard and behave differently to achieve greater results.
This session will cover…
-Winning the race one stroke at a time. This is about having a Performance Mindset where we constantly look at our performance, how well we are doing what we do rather than just measuring ourselves on the results that we get. A performance mindset should lead to continuous improvement in whatever areas that we chose to focus on. We will look specifically at developing a performance mindset in leadership.
-Motivation. We will explore 10 different motivation tools that can be useful to help get the best out of people. There is no one approach that works for everyone all of the time, these ten tools can be used with different people at different times.
