Lea Marra has been writing and performing music since the age of ten. Marra studied music from Seton Hill University and has her BA in Music Therapy. Lea brings her unique tone and strong vocals to her performance which is compared to vocal tones similar to Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Ray, Alanis Morrisette, Natalie Mains, Susan Tedeschi and at times Dolores O'Riordan. Marra's writing style is influenced by Sierra Ferrel, The Chicks, Hot Rize, Dolly Parton, Tyler Childers, The Weepies, and The Cranberries. Marra's songs speak about her life in the rustbelt of Cleveland, Ohio and the people she has encountered. Marra is inspired by the people around her as well as natures strong presence. Marra has transitioned her sound and songwriting to an Americana grassy feel influenced by her band Lea Marra & The River Boys.
