MEMS Info Session 3:30-5 p.m., Nov.14
SMART Commercialization Center, SM140
LCCC offers an associate degree, applied bachelor’s degree and certificates in MicroElectronic Manufacturing Systems (MEMS). MEMS prepares students for employment in the field of semiconductors (also called chips) and microelectronics. LCCC offers Ohio’s first applied bachelor’s degree in MEMS, as well as associate degree and certificate programs.
The MEMS associate degree and Microelectronic Manufacturing applied bachelor's degrees of LCCC are both focused on training and education students to work in electronic hardware manufacturing, prototyping, design, developing, and repair/rework. If you have heard of the term “motherboard,” LCCC trains students to build them, manufacture them, design them and repair them.
MEMS students learn to make chips and work in a cleanroom. There is a strong focus in both degrees on career placement via internships, part time, or full time employment while taking classes in both degrees.
This info session includes live demonstrations of electronic assembly while answering questions related to degree content as well as career placement. To register, visit lorainccc.edu/mems.
