It is definitely time to kick off the lazy, crazy days of summer! Join Educator Diane Aholt as she helps you get a jump start on the season by stitching up a fun and festive appliqued summer pillow that you will be proud to display in your home. Just like the season, this two-day class will be relaxing and will showcase many of the bright colors that define summer. Although the appliques were generated on the Scan n Cut, Kiki’s will provide a kit which includes the pre-cut appliqued shapes from both fabric and vinyl. Since hot fix crystals add the perfect amount of whimsy, they are also included in the kit. In addition to learning about machine applique, you will also discover how easy it is to add perfectly spaced decorative stitches on the prairie points that finish off the outer edges.
For your convenience, Kiki’s will provide classroom machines. However, you will be asked to bring a small list of general sewing supplies which will keep the kit price down.
The June temperatures in Fresno can be brutal, but we will stay nice and cool at Kiki’s where we will share our love of sewing and embroidery. Looking forward to seeing you!
