Lawrenceville Corporation (LC) is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to act as a catalyst and conduit for responsible and sustainable growth in the community. They support the many businesses in the neighborhood through advocacy, event planning, marketing, grant assistance, real estate development, and community planning and development. LC hosts street cleanups, networking events, and more throughout the year to promote our diverse and eclectic neighborhood all year round. LC is excited to be hosting the third annual Lawrenceville Pride June 13th-15th! Stop by their table on Tuesday to hear details on the weekend's events and meet some of the drag performers! For more info, please visit their website (www.lvpgh.com) or follow them on Instagram (@lvpgh).
The Allegheny Lead Safe Homes Program, a program that is within the Department of Economic Development, offers families with young children an opportunity to have their homes tested for lead-based paint. If lead-based paint is found in the home, then the Lead Safe Homes Program will hire a certified lead contractor to come and remove or stabilize the paint at little to no cost based on qualifications. Most homes in Allegheny County contain lead-based paint as they were built prior to 1978, the year lead paint was banned for residential use, so it is quite common in our region. The Lead Safe Homes Program was created to address this issue and has made over 280 homes lead safe in Allegheny County since 2016.
See you at 41st and Willow Street!
