We are celebrating the life and artistry of Lawrence P. Stevens on Monday, September 30th at 4pm. He was the sweetest soul, kind and giving, and beloved by his family and friends. He was most notably a local artist specializing in oil on canvas, focusing on landscapes, seascapes, still life, animals and portraits. We want this event to be an opportunity to share stories about his life and to view his many oil paintings.Why are we hosting this event on a Monday? Well, we will be occupying two venues in the same plaza: Wei Li Restaurant has graciously offered use of their function room for our catered gathering. And across the parking lot at Phoenix Karate, we will be displaying Lawrence's artwork at a pop-up gallery. Both businesses will be closed that day, so we have access to the entire parking lot.
We are hosting this as a public event, but are asking that anyone coming will RSVP so that we know how much food to order for catering.
