Lawn Mower Race Driver Registration: Big Sky Country State Fair

LAWN MOWER RACES ARE COMING TO THE BIG SKY COUNTRY STATE FAIR IN 2024!!!

Class specs are included below. Some classes might be combined depending on the number of final registrations.

Please note the following:

-Driver registration must be completed by July 14th at 12:00am

-Everyone in the pit area is required to have a pit pass. A pit pass gives you access to the pit area as well as access to the fair. Pit passes can be purchased when you complete your driver registration. A pit pass is included with your driver registration.

-There is a zero tolerance policy for drugs/alcohol in the pit area. Coolers will be checked upon arrival. If you or someone in your group are seen with drugs/alcohol in the pits, you will be disqualified and banned from future events.

-Parking in the pit area is limited so we ask everyone limit their vehicles to a tow vehicle, trailer and race vehicle.

-No pets are allowed in the pit area

-100% of drivers fees will be paid out to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners

SAFETY

Helmet, working K*ll switch or safety tether. Secured battery. No gas leaks. Long pants. Working brakes. Bumpers that cover the width of the tires, bottom bar 5 inches of ground, top bar should be 8 inches off ground.

STOCK SPEEDSTERS

-20 hp 4 stroke N/A engine, engine swaps ok

-Exhaust mods allowed

-Must use transmission from riding lawn mower transmission swaps are ok

-Pulley swaps, sprocket swapo are ok. Clutch may be relocated

-Must use original style belt release clutch system

-Original style front axle and steering system

-No wider or lowering machine

-Seat may be moved or lowered but must remain at least 13 inches off the ground

-Must use turf style tires

MODIFIED MOWERS

-20hp 4 stroke N/A engine engine swaps are allowed

-Must use belt style clutch release drive system

-No cvt. torque converter, or activated clutches

-Must use a garden tractor frame, strengthen ok

-Front axle modifications are allowed

-Wheel base may be moved up to 3 inches

-45 inches minimum hight from bottom of frame other components can be lower

-40 inch max width from outside of tires, fenders can be wider

-Steering shaft and angle must remain original through the dash after that mods allowed

-Seat hight must not be lower than 13 inches

-No tire restriction

OUTLAWS

-Must use power outdoor equipment engines, no hp limits, any engine modifications allowed. No motorcycle atv or auto engine

-No drive system limits. Cvt torque converter rpm activated clutch ok

-Must use garden tractor frame, no ground clearance or width restriction

-No seat or steering restrictions

-Suspension is allowed springs shocks control arms, swing arms to

-No tire restriction

OPEN CLASS

-Any engine, and drive system

-Custom frames allowed

-No ground clearance or width restrictions

-Suspension allowed spring shock control arm ok

-No steering restrictions

-No tire restrictions
