Yin Yoga is a deeply profound practice that challenges us to find flexibility, stillness, and ease—body, mind, and spirit. Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga asana, Yin Yoga invites students to hold individual poses for 3-5 minutes, allowing for deeper stretches that target the body’s connective tissues. It also offers the gifts of introspection and a deeper connection to the body’s subtle sensations. Yin Yoga’s slow pace is an opportunity to improve your flexibility and joint health, reduce stress, boost energy levels, and find a sense of greater personal peace and well-being. Practicing in the glow of the barn, with the soothing scent of lavender surrounding you, you’ll find a calming atmosphere that supports focus and personal growth. We recommend arriving no earlier/later than 15 minutes before the class begins to check in and acclimate yourself to the peaceful ambiance of our open-air candlelit barn. Arriving early allows you to fully immerse yourself in the serene setting and prepare your mind and body for the class. Get settled, sync in with yourself, breathe, and tap into the here and now.
Each Yin Yoga class will conclude with a guided relaxation meditation, allowing you to integrate the benefits of your practice and leave feeling grounded and rejuvenated.

Alyssa has been an avid supporter of Pumpkin Blossom Farm since its opening season and has attended nearly every yoga class since 2021. After subbing a handful of our evening candlelight classes and with encouragement from her friend and yoga mentor Jen, Alyssa decided to attend yoga teacher training at Sharing Yoga in Concord and became a certified yoga teacher in the spring of 2024.
Over her years of practice, Alyssa has immersed herself in different forms of asana, ranging from restorative and yin to power vinyasa, as well as yoga philosophy, meditation, breathwork. Through her classes, Alyssa hopes to inspire curiosity in her students, to encourage them to invite play and imperfection to their practice, and to honor their unique journey.
This is Alyssa’s second season teaching at Pumpkin Blossom Farm. She also instructs classes at Sharing Yoga and Worthy Mind and Movement in Concord, NH, and offers courses at Bee Here NH, a yurt in Salisbury.
