About this Event
The Lausanne Movement began in 1974, when Billy Graham and John Stott brought together leaders from 150 nations in Lausanne, Switzerland. Time Magazine called it “a formidable forum, possibly the widest-ranging meeting of Christians ever held.” Since then, Lausanne has continued to connect people across regions, issues, and generations to collaboratively and prayerfully advance God’s mission worldwide.
In Canada, this vision is carried forward through Lausanne Movement Canada, the national committee that exists to advance a Canadian gospel movement by connecting visionary ideas, faithful leadership, relational influence, and strategic generosity so they converge across generations, cultures, regions, and issue networks to shape the future of the Church and society.
This Fall Meet-Up is open to everyone, whether you have been part of Lausanne before or are exploring it for the first time. It is a chance to meet others, share experiences, and consider how we might declare and display Christ together in Quebec, Ottawa, and beyond.
What to Expect
- Connection across generations and sectors
- Stories from Lausanne’s global and Canadian journey
- Table conversations to listen, learn, and share
- Opportunities to meet Lausanne Canada board members, catalysts and past Lausanne Congress delegates
- Coffee, light refreshments, and meaningful dialogue
