About this Event
Workshop 5: Bunnies and chicks – Just in time for Easter. We’ll learn how to paint some simple fun little baby chicks and also learn how to paint some loose and fun bunnies. For the fuzzy little chicks, it is all about controlling the water and the paint. The same applies to the bunnies but we will work with wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques. These little creatures will be in a loose style, but the techniques can be applied later to more detailed paintings.
These classes have workshop in the title because each class will be delving into learning specific techniques and “mini” because they are only 2-1/2 hours long. The beauty of this format is that you can pick and choose which specific classes that you want to take based on your own interests and schedule. No long-term commitment is required. However, it is highly recommended that you have some previous watercolor experience or have taken a beginning watercolor class before. pARTiculars has several beginning watercolor class options available through this or other instructors.
NOTE: In this class you might NOT complete an entire painting, as each class will be instruction on specific techniques that can be used in your own individual future paintings.
Instructor: Laurie Adams (www.loreleiarts.us)
Adults & Teens 13 and over – Minimum 2, maximum 8
Prerequisite: Some previous experience required.
For beginning watercolor students who have taken a watercolor class before, existing watercolor artists whose techniques are rusty, or artists who want some continuing instruction or who want to learn new techniques. If you have no experience, I suggest you take a beginning watercolor class prior to this class as some of the techniques may be more difficult without some prior basic watercolor technique knowledge.
