Lauren Lapointe is a PA-based singer/songwriter who has gained recognition across the country for her soulful songs, unique voice, and strong live performances. Whether performing her original songs in some of the nation's top listening rooms like the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, rocking out with the favorites at the local watering hole, or playing that special moonlight concert series or festival, Lauren has made her name as a versatile crowd-pleaser who sings and shares her music from the heart.
She’s released three CDs of original music that have received international radioplay. Her third CD "Superhero" was produced by Thomm Jutz (Nanci Griffith, Mary Gauthier) in Nashville and features twelve original Americana, roots rock, pop, and old country songs supported by world class musicians.
“Superhero” debuted at #6 on the Cashbox Magazine/Roots Music Report’s Georgia Airplay chart and #16 on the Cashbox Magazoot’s Music Report’s Country/Americana Internet Airplay Top 50. Leicester Bangs in the UK described it as “an engaging combination of classic country, narrative songwriting, and plentiful hooks.” In November 2013 Lufthansa Airlines selected her song “The Ghost of Elvis” for their inflight program.
Lapointe cut her teeth playing in beautiful Savannah, GA. She branched out to regional and then national touring and has made a name for herself as a strong and versatile live performer who has played at many established listening rooms across the nation such as the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, the Jefferson Freedom Cafe in Ft. Worth TX, and Anderson Fair in Houston TX.
